This night was very successful for nearly 6 years, in the beginning it was the north of England's only specifically late 60 garage and psychedelic night. After the club closed I created a new club called 'The Evil Hoodoo Club' - which attracted many guest DJs and lots of attention. I am currently living in London where I am a regular DJ at 'The Cave Club'. This will not only be my first time at Cloud 9 but also my first time DJig in Italy. Peppermintwist has been calling Italy her home for the last year and a half. When she isn't busy traversing the seemingly never-ending labyrinth that is the Italian language, she engages in long-distance co-organizing of her monthly party in NYC, Smashed!Blocked!, which has been continuously occurring for almost seven years (and for which she occasionally still returns to DJ at). Future plans include publishing a new periodical that will be about music and anything that is generally interesting, finding a mode of employment that she doesn't find to be irksome, and trying not to fall down in the middle dance floor (anymore). In the mid eighties, during the end of the British ska and power pop era, I started to be a mod. The Vienna Mod scene was really unmanageable at that time and I grow up in a daily changing scene. In the late 80ies I was the guitar player of the band The Venue and next I changed the instrument with the turntables. In the late 80ies I started to spin records in one of the Mod clubs in town and on scooter runs also. In the 90ies I run the Canterbury Soul Club (Vienna) together with Jörg Record Shack and after that the Sound of Soul Club. In the mid 90ies Claudia and I felt in deep love and we got our son Fabian. 2005 we married final. Since 2006 we run the Get Smarter Club, where we are playing a mix of British Beat, Psychedelic and R'n'B. I'm collecting black and white music as well, so if you ask me about my five favourite records, it's near impossible to answer. Frantz (Cloud 9 - Rimini) Resistance is futil, forget your fluffiness and poppy side we are not joking anymore... Born in the Aquarian Age, he's a well known name into the European Mod scene and is usually a special and in demand guest D.J. across Europe. His collection is now more than 15 years old and is full of many many many treasured original Uk, USA, European and Worldwide pressing 45s. Frantz's sound is a strong and mature mixture of Freakbeat, Uk Psych and Good US garage punk peppered with unkwon gems, personally discovered. His musical taste is wide and in motion, focusing on electric distortion guitar and organ driven cuts, strong rhytmic section and an irresteable dancefloor appeal.
